October 25, 2019 saw the annual Crumlin Community Netball Club Quiz Night. This fun-filled night raised £800 for the local club which was founded in May 2018 by award winning coach Joanne McElkerney. The Clubs main objective was and still is to encourage girls and ladies of all ages to be involved in the game of netball. The Club has grown significantly over the past 21 months and provides a vital service to the Crumlin community and beyond, offering a fun way to keep fit via junior, social and league netball sessions. They currently have 6 league teams (U14s, U16s, U19s, Swans, Cyclones and Dynamites) consisting of members of all ages. The teams are a formidable force with an insatiable appetite for success. 2019 saw numerous trophies and awards for the Club culminating in CCNC being voted Netball NI Club of the year and their Coach Joanne McElkerney being awarded Sport Maker 2019 Community Coach of the Year.
